How to get to Strathgarry

ROAD DIRECTIONS TO STRATHGARRY

From Edinburgh: cross the Forth Road Bridge and take the M90 signposted Perth and Inverness. Do not go into Perth. Take the bypass and head for Inverness on the A9. After about 25 miles you will come to Pitlochry. Bypass the town and shortly afterwards turn left to Killiecrankie.

As you come into Killiecrankie, you will pass the Killiecrankie Hotel on your right. Take the first turning left after the Killiecrankie Hotel.

From Inverness: Turn left off the A9 just after Blair Atholl heading for Killiecrankie. When you reach the 30mph limit sign in Killiecrankie, you will see two new bungalows on your left. Turn right directly opposite them.

IN KILLIECRANKIE: Having turned opposite the bungalows, cross the railway and the river (about 100 yards) and then turn right. Keep bearing right along the riverbank for about a mile. The road is signposted with a dead-end sign and to Shierglas quarry. It’s a single-track road so watch out for the oncoming traffic. Strathgarry House is clearly marked on your left: it’s a large white house (if you overshoot which you shouldn’t) with a bumpy drive.
